A Class III Biosafety Cabinet (also known as a Type III BSC) is the highest level of containment used in laboratories and healthcare settings where highly dangerous biological agents are handled. A Type A2 Biosafety Cabinet (often referred to as Class II Type A2 BSC) is a type of Class II Biosafety Cabinet (BSC) designed to provide both operator protection and product protection while handling biological agents, particularly those that might be airborne or potentially hazardous.
